When we get nervous, we make excuses. That’s just the nature of being human. We make these excuses which leads us to not love ourselves or take care of ourselves. Sometimes life is busy, work-life balance is crazy, or we have to take care of someone else (believe me…I get it!!). We also have excuses like “I just need to lose 15 pounds first!” or “I don’t have the money for that right now!”.

So I decided to write this to show you all that no matter the excuse you come up with in your head, that you CAN in fact do it! You are worthy of SELF-love!!!

“I don’t have enough time for myself.”

It’s important to note that if you aren’t taking care of yourself mentally, you will not be able to take care of those around you. I know that this makes sense, but is so much harder to actually impliment as its easier said than done! I am the WORST when it comes to making sure my mental is given breaks every now and then, which is why I think it is important to mansion this to you all. I am just as guilty of making excuses and sometimes I just need someone to stop me in my tracks, look me in the eyes, and say, “SLOW DOWN! Give yourself a break, breathe for a minute!!”.

During your boudoir session, you will be able to catch your breath, and ultimately love yourself for a few hours. Think this through with me…think of all the energy you will save on a daily basis if you stop comparing yourself to others, stop worrying about what other people think of how you look, stop those negative self-talk! HOURS! Literal hours of your life back, which gives you days, weeks, years back over time! You will get to see where your beauty really comes from after your session with us and you'll lift such a huge mental weight in the process.

You need to take time for yourself! Why not spend it getting glammed up and having an amazing time!?

“I’m not where I want to be weight wise/I don’t fit the media’s idea of someone who should be in a bikini.”

Did you know that the body type portrayed in advertising as the “ideal” is naturally only about 5% of American females? ONLY FIVE FREAKING PERCENT!

I will say this over and over again…and sorry not sorry to those who have already heard me say it, but WHY do you have to be a certain size to LOVE yourself!? WHY do you have to fit a strangers jacked up idea of a “perfect” body to love your OWN body!? WHY in the world are you comparing your size to everyone else, when no 2 women are the same!?

I think it’s amazing to have goals and get healthy…absolutely! But does that mean you have to hate your body to have those goals? Absolutely NOT! You can and SHOULD love your yourself every step of the way. Be proud of where you are so that you can be proud of where you are going. Have a boudoir shoot to celebrate where you are now AND have another when you hit your goal weight to see how far you’ve come!

“I never feel sexy anymore, so a boudoir photoshoot just isn’t for me.”

WRONG. 

This excuse is EXACTLY why you SHOULD do a boudoir shoot.

Often times, we lost touch with our femininity or sensuality when life gets crazy due to health/kids/work. It happens. It’s normal and totally okay! A great way to find this side of ourselves again is to have a boudoir shoot to get that inner spark back! We can show you that you have it inside you, and it may even help ignite that spark between you and your partner as well! 

Another thing to remember is that you don’t HAVE to wear anything super sexy or lingerie. If you feel like doing so doesn’t show your personality, there are so many other outfit ideas out there that will! Yes, a boudoir shoot IS an investment. But here me out…it’s an investment in YOURSELF. You are investing in your well-being and confidence! We offer payment plans and accept PayPal Credit! To get started and get on our schedule, you pay our session fee retainer, and after that we hop on the phone to get you set up on a payment plan for our studio minimum.
